As the weather contemplates if it wants to warm up or not yet...plans for the spring and summer are in the works. The district youth have a number of events coming up within the next few months and I hope each church and youth group will make it a priority to participate. Keep checking back to the www.indyouth.com site for more details, downloadable forms and contact information about these events.
I want to remind each of you as well...don't forget why you put all the work and time into these events. It's not about the performance but rather about providing an opportunity for our teens to meet their Lord and Savior! Let's all make sure we keep Christ first as we give leadership to our specific flocks. The Lord is always faithful to meet with us, let's make it a point to meet with Him!Gathering
On March 2nd all the youth pastors of the district are invited to attend our Youth Pastor Gathering. The Youth Pastor Gathering will be at Shiloh Wesleyan Church at 11:00am for the purpose of information and prayer. Once our Gathering time is finished everyone is invited to go out to lunch together.
FUSION
IWU’s FUSION event will be taking place on March 13 & 14. This event is designed to challenged your high school students in their faith. There will be excellent speakers, worship leaders and bands there to make the weekend well worth your time.
FUEL
Every youth pastor of our district should plan on attending this year’s FUEL event. It will be held on April 16-18 in Louisville, Kentucky. This will be where the next Area Wesleyan Youth Convention will take place next winter. Being at FUEL is an opportunity to be encouraged as well as gather information about the upcoming convention. Register by going to youth section of www.wesleyan.org. Indiana North will be trying to carpool down together to save on some expenses. More to come.
District All Nighter
Indiana North District All-Nighter will be April 24-25 in the Fort Wayne area. We had to move our all-nighter back one weekend due to the FUEL event but still expect a great night and lots of fun. Under the leadership of Pastor Derek Carpenter and his team, this year’s event will be one you won’t want to miss. We are planning for the big crowds and making the needed adjustments for everyone to have a great time.
